Pre-Oscar Awards Season Highlights

Since all the pre-awards shows simply aren't as important as the Oscars, I decided to do a round-up of the most memorable moments, leave out the bad and drink in the good.

I will do a more comprehensive Oscar post next week after the big event. But it's good to take a look at the momentum building before the big night. And there have been some beautiful moments on the red carpet thus far, it makes me seriously excited for this year's Oscars.

And without further ado...

The One and Only, Jennifer Lopez at the Grammys in Emilio Pucci dress and Louboutin heels

The metallics were big at the grammys and leave it to JLo to knock it out of the park and truly be at the top of the trend. It looks absolutely stunning on her. Her body looks amazing, the dress is really playing up her assets. This woman has had twins! The long sleeves have also been a trend throughout this awards season, she gives it an edge here with the hyper-short length. I love the hair too it looks great on top of the dress. Bravo.

Mila Kunis at the SAGs in Alexander McQueen

I think this looks gorge on her. I love the softer, longer waves as opposed to the overwrought poof she donned at the Golden Gobes. This dress is so effortless, which is way more her vibe anyway. My only wish is that she left those fake black swan tattoos on her back throughout awards season! That would have been hot!

Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive

Gasp! Those curves! That body! That glow! I can see a pregnant Rachel Zoe keeling over in astonishment at how flawless this turned out (I assume her and Brad dressed her and we will see it on the next installment of The Rachel Zoe Project). As previously stated, the long sleeves have been big on the red carpet this season. There is something so glamorous and regal about them when worn right. And Anne certainly gets it right here. It's breathtaking really the way she looks...it's edgy, regal, sexy, and bold all at the same time. She has really grown into herself magically.

Andrew Garfield in Emporio Armani at Golden Globes & in Burberry at the SAGs

My new obsession. Just thought I'd throw him in for good measure because he looks so good, doesn't he!? So tailored and dapper! With just the right pinch of attitude! The red carpet certainly has a new man to claim it! All he's missing is a well-dressed femme around that loose arm that he doesn't keep situated in his pocket...ENTER Lea stage right (Wouldn't they look gorgeous together!!)

Haha these looks make me think of when Finn said in his voiceover "I can't get Rachel out of my head. I mean, she's got a smokin' body...if you're not into boobs."

For a girl without boobs she sure does love the plunging necklines!

But seriously though I think she looks sensational. She's been rockin' the red carpet with great choices this season, but I think the SAG Oscar De La Renta just upped her game. She looks like a young Penelope, right? I thought the only thing that might have made it sexier was bright red lips...but not having them gives a more natural feel that suits her young age. And she donned the red lips at the grammys so alas, she had a plan the whole time. I think she looks absolutely gorgeous and poised in classic and statuesque kind of way.

And then her grammy number was just so fun, flirty, and feminine it made me want to wear it. Poor girl must desperately want to be be taller, those are some sky high Louboutin platform/heels. Haha Santana called her a "dwarf" on Glee, she's only 5'2." She's gotta be wearing extensions at the grammys, right? Her hair looks beautiful like that though, so full. I hope she gets to go to the Oscars, I'm sure she would/is going to have an interesting style choice for that. She seems like she would be dying to go, I hope we get to see her there. I have nothing but faith that she will get there at some point though, even if it's not this year. Something tells me she is destined to be one of the greats...in fashion and her performance career.

Adam Lambert at the Grammys, Hellmuth necklaces

Alright, I realize this is a guy wearing a hell of a lot of makeup and jewelry. That said and noted, I really love his look, it's super rock star sheek. Or maybe rock star luxe is more what I'd call it. His boots are hot and the open shirt with the necklaces gives the whole look a really interesting focal point. I know he's over the top, but it almost seems subdued for him. He also has such presence and such confidence that you can't help but be drawn in by him.

And speaking of presence and confidence...

Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes in Atelier Versace

I must say it looks like this dress was made for her. She has such presence it's electrifying. The color and sparkle of the dress are mesmerizing and the hair suits the look impeccably. She's in a league all her own 'nuff said.

And with her man, also in Versace

He makes the picture complete, just because he is so ideal. This man knows how to dress and has a body and a face that was just made for the cameras. They've never looked better and they're parents of 6!

God, they're so beautiful it's not fair!

All I can say is I hope they show up at the Oscars.
